A day in davangere

Davangere brings about concoction of memories,
from highway drives to late night sprees.
From gundee circle and its road side stalls,
to sleepless nights and late night calls.

One cant forget the early morning jogs,
running with enthusiasm in the blinding fog.
Some prefer to hit a variety of gyms,
to exercise their muscle and keep themselves trim.

Breakfast in mama's gives the day a head-start,
hot mangalore buns play a crucial part.
Sipping hot tea down our thirsty throats,
we plunge into the day with our white coats.

Then we get busy with our morning duty,
following the professors who show us apathy.
Sitting in opd and chatting about evening shows,
attending to patients till the time comes to close.

Having lunch in different parts of the town,
traveling for food never makes us frown.
Returning to the duties with a full tummy,
never bothering to think about the spent money.

Evening shows in Aruna , Vasantha and Trishul talkies,
to having mouthwatering chats near the gundi school tree.
Missing pizzas in Artic circle will be a pity,
and that ends evening life in our adventurous city.

Birthday treats will be available round the year,
to satisfy our dinner pangs so need not fear.
A range of delicacies a feast for the eyes,
butter chicken ,dal kichadi with a variety of spice.

One remembers the delicacies in snowland parlor,
different flavors of ice creams around the corner.
the times spent there under the watchful eyes of the owner,
Savoring the sweetness of ice creams and hoping they would last longer.

Will never forget the pan shop in ram and co circle,
the chillness and sweetness of their pan makes my eyes twinkle.
Having juice in the midst of police night rounds,
this is davangere with its sights and sounds..
